Airedale Terrier Injury
Our late Mountain Airedale, Oakley, gets bit in the paw from our neighbor’s dog.
Airedales have wonderful dispositions and are easily trained. The Airedale Terrier, the largest member of the terrier group, is known to admirers as the King of Terriers. They have broad versatility, intelligence, and unswerving loyalty.

Two year old Larger Arizona Airedale Terrier at Peoria off-leash park.
President Roosevelt claimed that “An Airedale can do anything any other dog can do and then lick the other dog, if he has to.”
This video shows Teddy at one of our local off-leash dog parks here in Peoria. In just a few days Teddy is going to be surprised, because we are getting a eight week old Oorang female Airedale puppy to be his new companion. Read more
Arizona Larger Airedale Terrier
Arizona Larger Airedale Terrier – Teddy the Mountain Airedale
Teddy is my larger Arizona Airedale Terrier, he will be two in a few weeks.
Besides mountain trail hikes, for exercise and socialization, I take Teddy to local off leash dog barks here in Peoria Arizona.
Naturally, one must exercise caution when taking their dogs off leash parks and also only do so if your dog is up-to-date on all their vaccinations. The larger Airedale Terriers need a lot of exercise and also do not like high temperatures. So, be sure to take your dog early in the morning or later in the evening, and most importantly, be sure to bring plenty of water for them.
Airedales are truly one of a kind! Long love the King! Yes, the Airedale Terriers are lovely-natured charismatic dogs and really affectionate too! Plus, the Airedale is VERY smart and fun loving! Read more

After Annie gave birth last year to nine beautiful puppies on January 2, 2019, her next heat was almost exactly 6 months later. So, I expected her second heat after giving birth to be about 2 1/2 months ago. I guess nature really doesn’t care what I think, because it took another approximately 2 1/2 months before and she went into heat. Read more
Airedale Puppy Arrives in San Diego
Airedale Puppy Arrives
As some of you may already know our large Airedale Oakley, passed on just before his 11th birthday this past August. Annie and Oakley were the first time we ever had two Airedales. After Oakley went over the rainbow bridge I occasionally thought about getting another Airedale puppy.
A couple of months ago I had put a deposit down on an a male Airedale puppy that was just a few weeks old at the time. But, unfortunately the breeder became ill and their partner wanted to keep that male puppy. Both Judy and I were sad that this little puppy which we thought was coming to our home was now staying with the breeder.
About three weeks ago, I received information that there were three larger size Airedale puppies back in the Midwest that were available. After reviewing the breeders information and checking the AKC lineage, and naturally quite a few photos of the puppy, we decided to make the commitment and provide Annie with an adopted brother. Red Airedale Terrier
Red Airedale Terrier
Do you remember the first Ford automobiles that were produced? You could have any color you want as long as it was black! Well, many people believe the Airedale Terrier is just black and tan. Actually, there are all-black Airedales ( view my video of a black Airedale( https://www.airedale-terriers-oorang.com/airedale-terriers/black-airedale-terrier.html ) and also red Airedales!
As I said before, having owned three black and tan Airedales I’m partial toward the traditional coloring. But, with that said, and even with the fact that the AKC does not recognize the red or the black Airedale, I don’t see why if someone wants one of these Airedales they shouldn’t have one. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Plus, I really think the main attraction of the Airedale is not the coloring so much as it is the personality and traits of the breed itself.
Of all the Airedales I saw at this breeders facility, Eric the red Airedale was not only one of the largest Airedales there, he had the standard fun-loving, happy demeanor as is common with all the Airedale terriers. Also, just look at his face in the video, how can you not love this big fun-loving animal? Read more
