Tova and Archie arrive in Peoria Arizona at eight weeks old. These two Airedale puppies are the larger Airedale Terriers also known as Oorang Airedales or Mountain Airedales.

Two Oorang Airedale Terrier puppies arrive in Peoria Arizona via pet transportation service, from Colorado. Tova is the female Airedale, and her brother is Archie. At the time of delivery they were both just a couple of days past their eight week old birthdays.

Tova is going to be our two year old Oorang Airedales (Teddy) new companion. Tova’s brother will be with a new family just about 5 miles from us here in Peoria Arizona.

1949 marked the peak of the Airedales’ popularity in the USA, ranked 20th out of 110 breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club. Along with it’s majestic looks, the Airedale is an elite working dog. The breed excels at hunting small and medium game. Originating in England the Airedale was originally used to hunt otter and other vermin.

Airedale Terrier puppies love children and were the true nanny dog. Lots of stories of farmers using these dogs to babysit the kids at the end of the row while the adults worked in the field. Gentle and kind but brave and strong. They held predators at bay until the farmer could get his gun but did not fear the adversary and would attack if need be. Airedales are not slouches. The Oorang Airedales are fun loving, healthy, wonderful dogs.
