Annie ad nine Airedale Terrier puppies on January 2, 2019. This picture was taken when the puppies were eight weeks old, and these are the last that were remaining to go to their new forever homes.

You can see any looking over my shoulder and watching her little puppies .

Judi & I interacted with the puppies multiple times per day.

Just to be on the safe side, until they got there first vaccinations at six weeks it was just Judy and I our son and his girlfriend ( after sanitizing their close shoes and hands ) who interacted with the puppies . After their first shot, we still sanitized visitors who wanted to come by and also at this time was the first time that we took them out into our backyard.

After their second vaccination at eight weeks, we let the potential new owners come by to view the puppies. We just felt that we rather be cautious because puppies at this early stage of life really do not have any antibodies built up to fight off infection as well as Parvo.

Parvo, can be transmitted by the air and by interacting with another dog that’s carrying it and then you end up inadvertently passing it along to the puppies.

We made sure that the puppies had plenty of toys to keep them occupied. Not only was it great fun interacting with the puppies, that I personally believe that this interaction makes for better adult dogs.

Plus, there’s nothing like seeing their tiny little tails wagging when you’re talking to them, o hearing their first little barks.
