8 Week Old Airedale Puppy

Our 4 1/2-year-old female Airedale Terrier had her first litter of puppies on January 2. She had nine puppies, six boys and three girls.

When they were going on their seventh week new forever parents came by to select their new family members. Naturally, it was hard to see these guys go, but also good to see the smiles and joy of the people who are going to be providing them there forever homes.

This video shows our last male 8 week old Airedale Terrier puppy, meeting his new forevery human family. We called him Mr. Blue because that was the color of his collar. He is now Barnaby and will be living in Oregon.

His new forever human companions had an Airedale before that passed away within a week of Barnabys birth. They fell in love with Airedale terriers, and just judging their reaction smiles upon meeting Barnaby, I think it was love at first sight.

It’s amazing to think that just a few weeks ago, with Annie and the puppies, we were a ten Airedale Terrier home!

We still have one female Airedale puppy here with us and Annie. New human companion flew in a couple of weeks ago to select her from the three females we had. We are going to be housesitting her for about a week, until her new forever companion can drive out from Montana and take her back to her new forever home.

He is swift, formidable, graceful, big of brain, an ideal chum and guard. ….To his master he is an adoring pal. To marauders he is a destructive lightning bolt.”
