Airedale Puppy Training – Airedale Terrier puppy training
Airedale Terriers are very smart dogs and therefore usually easy to train. This video shows the training of a three-month-old Airedale Terrier puppy.
My personal observations about training and/or playing with in Airedale Terrier is that they do bore easily. Therefore, I would suggest not to linger on a single command for too long and have your training sessions at least once a day, always with multiple commands and plenty of treats. Read more
Airedale Terrier Grooming
An easy way to create a perfect head shape on an Airedale Terrier.
The difference between Airedale Terrier clipping and hand-stripping is that not only is hand-stripping done by hand, but it removes coat from the root (not just the top layer) so a new coat is able to grow in. Each time you clip an Airedale’s coat instead of hand stripping, you are just taking off the top layer of dead fur rather than removing it from the roots – as a result, the coat may become duller in texture and color with each clipping. Mission Trails Regional Park youat approximately 5800 ac.² is the largest regional Park this side of the Mississippi. There are a lot of great hiking and mountain bike trails going throughout the park.
I like to take my two mountain Airedale Terriers hiking here usually late in the day when the temperature is going down and we don’t have to go in the direct sun. So, it’s not uncommon that we see quite a few rattlesnakes. Just two weeks ago I saw rattlesnakes on three out of the five days that we took our walks. Read more

This is an incredible video showing the training of an Airedale Terrier. Not only is the trainer and the Airedale Terrier performing incredible dog tricks, but, this Airedale Terrier is one magnificent looking animal.
Naturally, before trying to teach your dog’s advanced tricks like shown in this video, make sure you have the basic dog training out of the way.
Because the Airedale Terrier is very smart, many times they can tick tick up a trick in just a handful of tries. Airedale Terrier Handstripping
Hand-stripping is a grooming method that Airedale Terrier owners use to remove excess hair from their dog’s coat. The most common method of dog grooming is clipping – this method involves the use of a pair of electric clippers which cut or shave the top layer of hair on a dog’s coat.
The difference between clipping and hand-stripping is that not only is hand-stripping done by hand, but it removes coat from the root (not just the top layer) so a new coat is able to grow in. Airedale Terrier Grooming
This is a good video on trimming your Airedale Terrier.
I’ve always been a do-it-yourselfer when it comes to grooming my two Mountain Airedale Terriers. Mostly,DIY grooming is out of necessity because I know that neither of my two Airedale’s would put up with professional grooming.
I think if you want to bring your hairdo and for professional grooming you should start when they’re a puppy so they get used to the experience. On the other hand, looking at videos like this, that go over the entire procedure, and getting a good set of electronic clippers, it’s really relatively easy to do this yourself. Read more
Airedale Training – Germany
In the dog school near Berlin as well as near Leipzig the Airedale Terrier Balin was trained by the dog trainer team Uwe Krüger, Bettina Krüger and Joanna Bauer in the individual and group training.
The main focus of the training was elements in which the obedience of the dog and its behavior in the public, for example during the meeting with pedestrians, joggers and cyclists is checked. It was emphasized that the dog in everyday situations such as in the shopping center and in the park, is neutral to its environment and thus has grown into a relaxed family companion.
Dog training should not be about domination, but communication. Read more
