Female Airedale Puppies at 5 weeks and 2 days old
Annie, our 4 1/2 year old AKC registered Airedale Terrier had her first litter of nine puppies. There were three females and six male puppies. This video shows that three female Airedale puppies at five weeks and two days old.

Female Airedale Puppies
The female Airedale Terrier is always smaller than the male Airedale from the same litter. But, what most people don’t realize, is the fact that the female Airedale Terrier is much more tenacious than the male Airedale. This is somewhat like the female lion and the male lion.

At five weeks old, all the puppies have now been weaned from their mom. We are soaking puppy food in sterilized water and go to milk and just prior to serving this to the puppies we heated up to about 98°. Then, we add in a little cooked oatmeal and serve it up in a six little bowls to the nine little puppies. Actually, I left out one step. . . That is to add a sheet of plastic down in their pen before putting the food down. This is an important step, because once they’re finished eating there is puppy food all over the place.

What happens next, is that there is usually a short playtime before the puppies fall fast asleep. After about an hour and a half or two they wake up and have a much longer playtime.
