Larger Arizona Airedale Terrier

Larger Arizona Airedale Terrier

Two year old Larger Arizona Airedale Terrier at Peoria off-leash park.

President Roosevelt claimed that “An Airedale can do anything any other dog can do and then lick the other dog, if he has to.”

This video shows Teddy at one of our local off-leash dog parks here in Peoria. In just a few days Teddy is going to be surprised, because we are getting a eight week old Oorang female Airedale puppy to be his new companion. Read more »

Arizona Larger Airedale Terrier

Arizona Larger Airedale Terrier – Teddy the Mountain Airedale

Teddy is my larger Arizona Airedale Terrier, he will be two in a few weeks.

Besides mountain trail hikes, for exercise and socialization, I take Teddy to local off leash dog barks here in Peoria Arizona.

Naturally, one must exercise caution when taking their dogs off leash parks and also only do so if your dog is up-to-date on all their vaccinations. The larger Airedale Terriers need a lot of exercise and also do not like high temperatures. So, be sure to take your dog early in the morning or later in the evening, and most importantly, be sure to bring plenty of water for them.

Airedales are truly one of a kind! Long love the King! Yes, the Airedale Terriers are lovely-natured charismatic dogs and really affectionate too! Plus, the Airedale is VERY smart and fun loving! Read more »

Annie – larger Airedale Terrier

After Annie gave birth last year to nine beautiful puppies on January 2, 2019, her next heat was almost exactly 6 months later. So, I expected her second heat after giving birth to be about 2 1/2 months ago. I guess nature really doesn’t care what I think, because it took another approximately 2 1/2 months before and she went into heat. Read more »

Airedale Terrier Puppy Play

Airedale Terrier Puppy Play – Larger Airedales

Teddy & Annie at 8 weeks old and 5 years old for Annie. Airedale Terrier puppies are real bundles of energy. They love to play, roughhouse and naturally get into mischief. At eight weeks old, their little teeth are like razors. Even though they’re just playing, you’re lucky to get a couple of days without getting a little puncture wound on your hand, your arm or your lower leg.

We tried to keep a lot of toys around for Teddy to keep them occupied and out of trouble. Well, perhaps I should say how to big trouble, because you can never keep an Airedale puppy completely out of trouble. It seems there’s always an article of clothing a pair of slippers or a newspaper that’s attacked by Teddy on a daily basis. I think the fact that he’s playing more and more with Annie these days, is keeping them out of real trouble. Read more »

Eight Week Old Airedale Terrier Puppy leaves for Los Angeles

This is our eight week old Airedale Terrier puppy, Ms. Yellow (now Farfel) who headed to Brentwood in Los Angeles today. Farfel’s new human family has owned an Airedales in the past.

Los Angeles Airedale puppy - Eight Week Old Airedale Terrier Puppy

Farfel had her own box in the back seat of the car and that had toys and pillow to keep her happy on the ride back north to Los Angeles. From the time they left here, I’m sure they got back to Farfel’s new forever home around sunset. Read more »

The black Airedale Terrier

Quite a few local Airedale Terrier owners that I’ve talked to here in San Diego, didn’t seem to realize that there was an all black Airedale Terrier. But, the reality is that they have been around for quite some time. Although not recognized by the AKC, through registration into their system, the fact remains that they exist and have exactly the same characteristics as the standard black and tan Airedales.  Black Airedale Terrier *CORRECTION to video -The breeder has been breeding Airedales for 33 years!

So, if you love Airedale Terriers, and can appreciate and all black Airedale Terrier, you definitely have an opportunity to stand out from the crowd by owning one of these fun-loving intelligent animals. Read more »

California Airedale Terrier – Scary Airedale

Scary California Airedale Terrier

Well, we all know that Airedale Terriers are anything but scary! Actually, I think one of the reasons they’re popular is because the standard black and tan Airedale Terrier looks like  a teddy bear!

How many little kids grew up with teddy bears? So, it’s probably natural that when they see an Airedale Terrier they are reminded of the stuffed animal that they had when they were little kid.

Mountain Airedale Terrier - California Airedale Terrier

Mountain Airedale Terrier

California Airedale Terrier

An Airedale is a quick learner and can be trained very easily. But, it also gets bored quickly, and requires regular mental and physical stimulation. A long walk, a chance to romp through a safe area or a physically tiring game should be good enough for this. A bored Airedale is known to fill up a yard with holes in one evening. Read more »
