Today about 10:30AM at Mission Trails Regional Park I saw the third rattlesnake for this year.  Hiking with my two Airedale Terriers here in San Diego, seeing rattlesnakes on the trails is common. The first on I saw was on the Barker Way Trail on Cowles Mountain, the second one was on the walking path around Lake Murray. So, today’s sighting was not unexpected. Larger Airedale Terriers 360°

My two larger Airedales Annie and Teddy at the San Diego river where it goes through Mission Trails Regional Park.

Mission Trails Regional Park is about 5,700 acres and the largest regional park west of the Mississippi.

The river is not very wide here and in the summer, there is usually no water. This video was taken just after our Thanksgiving large rain storm and so there was quite a lot of water in the river and it was flowing quite fast. Read more »

This is a good video on trimming your Airedale Terrier.

I’ve always been a do-it-yourselfer when it comes to grooming my two Mountain Airedale Terriers. Mostly,DIY grooming is out of necessity because I know that neither of my two Airedale’s would put up with professional grooming.

I think if you want to bring your hairdo and for professional grooming you should start when they’re a puppy so they get used to the experience. On the other hand, looking at videos like this, that go over the entire procedure, and getting a good set of electronic clippers, it’s really relatively easy to do this yourself. Read more »
