From original Youtube post: I found this video online, I did not film it but I thought it was so special I had to put a song behind it. To me, the female Lab is trying so hard to befriend the child. The boy is cautious but curious at the same time. The person who filmed the original video contacted me in January 2013 She is the mom, her name is Ana, her sons name is Hernan, and the dogs name is Himalaya. Almost all Airedale Terrier puppies will always be nipping, and biting. These are are normal Airedale puppy behaviors and rarely cause any real harm.

My wife has allergies to cats & dogs. We now  have two Mountain Airedales, and the wife has no issues with them.  They are overall a smart dogs, but you should always spend time training them, they can be destructive if not.

My Airedales will bark at home when someone is outside (or a cat) and alert us if something isn’t right in their eyes.  Although they both are very smart, dogs don’t understand friends and family and strangers.  If it is someone they have not met before, they will consider them a stranger.  If you want him / her to be a guard dog (basically just bark at what is outside) they are good for it, but if you want a protection dog, they need some training.
